Yeah, I just took Paraitonion and copticized it a bit. It's not accurate though for sure. We could use ⲡⲁⲣⲁⲓⲧⲟⲛⲓⲟⲛ instead. Or maybe there's an older Egyptian name attested in Hieroglyphic or Demotic Egyptian? Or we could stick with Arabic name. --Bloomaround (talk) 23:37, 6 January 2018 (UTC)

If no older name from Demotic was preserved, Copts of that time would either called it ⲡⲁⲣⲁⲓⲧⲟⲛⲓⲟⲛ, or if a bit "Copticized", ⲡⲁⲣⲁⲓⲧⲟⲛⲓ or ⲡⲁⲣⲉⲧⲟⲛⲓ. I would therefore be fine with ⲡⲁⲣⲁⲓⲧⲟⲛⲓ or ⲡⲁⲣⲁⲓⲧⲟⲛⲓⲟⲛ. The problem with ⲡⲁⲣⲁⲧⲟⲩⲛ is that a Greek ⲧⲟⲛⲓⲟⲛ seldom changes to Coptic ⲧⲟⲩⲛ. ⲁϩⲙⲉⲧ (talk) 01:32, 7 January 2018 (UTC)

The map in ⲭⲏⲙⲓ uses ⲡⲁⲣⲁⲉⲧⲛⲓⲟⲛ as a possible Coptic translation of the Greek Παραιτόνιον. Not sure if it was the name used by Copts during medieval ages, though. --ⲡⲓⲙⲟⲩⲓ (talk) 06:58, 11 January 2018 (UTC)

I really don't believe so. An accented Greek o is preserved. Why can't we just use ⲡⲁⲣⲁⲓⲧⲟⲛⲓⲟⲛ? ⲁϩⲙⲉⲧ (talk) 13:45, 11 January 2018 (UTC)
