- Well, the new style is more relevant (the color is used for maintenance as well as it adds the redirect symbol), thus I would prefer not to. You can override it by your own stylesheet though. Let me know if you would like me to add it for you.

- Override done. The other possibility is you uncheck the gadget and copy the original code to your common.css. Both works, I chose this, because it keeps the gadget turned on, thus it reminds you in preferences that neither is the original MediaWiki behavior. Remember to purge your cache.
