Incubator talk:Babel

User language

I noticed that in 2010, my userpage was updated to incorporate the "user language" templates imported from Meta (which is fine), but when I went to edit my userpage, there was a box at the top that instructed the use of the Babel templates. What's going on? I don't mind using either one, but there should be an official policy, and as far as I can tell, Babel is still it, so changing others' userpages in contradiction seems problematic, to say the least. --Cromwellt|talk|contribs 03:17, 22 December 2013 (UTC)

9 months ago, I was sent a "how-to" message from Wikipedia asking me to create my own page. It SPECIFICALLY advised me to use Babel and included a link to a sample code. (I see this question is old and answered to help avoid future confusion). Teraisa (talk) 09:50, 22 May 2016 (UTC)

バベルによる「言語能力調査」

1. 自分の使える言語とそのレベルを選定してください。
2. 上記を参照しながら、例えば、「英語を流暢 (en-3)」、「ドイツ語は基本的なものを少し話せる(de-1)」の場合には、適合するテンプレートは{{User en-3}} 及び {{User de-1}} です。
3. 該当するテンプレート「{{User en-3}} {{User de-1}} 」を、自分の利用者ページに書き込みます。

この例の場合だと、この利用者ページは、英語カテゴリ Category:User en-3 及び Category:User en に入れられ、ドイツ語は、カテゴリCategory:User de-1 及び Category:User de に自動的に入れられます。なお、各言語カテゴリーを統括するトップ・カテゴリーはCategory:User です。そのトップ・カテゴリーの下に、サブ・カテゴリーとして各言語カテゴリーが並んでいます。

Babel of Paiwan

Hi there, We would like to create our Babel template at Template:Wp/pwn/User language/pwn. But for now, it seems that it doesn't work on the user page. Hope someone can help with this. Thanks in advance!Iyumu (talk) 03:04, 26 April 2021 (UTC)
