- As this language is extinct, this is not possible. --MF-W {a, b} 21:20, 21 January 2025 (UTC)
- @MF-Warburg: Isn't that matter rather controversial? SIL lists it as Living, and Ethnologue as Endangered (and at some point in the past, Dormant). Atleast one academical source (here) points to the existence of 4 children that speak it natively. I was doing this quick research before answering, but I am not so sure, should it still be considered as extinct? Iohanen (Garcez) (talk) 21:35, 21 January 2025 (UTC)
- If the user speaks the language and wants to make this point, it should best be discussed in a Request on Meta. --MF-W {a, b} 20:25, 15 March 2025 (UTC)

Idoma
I will like to start up a Wikipedia test language on Idoma Language. Idoma Language is one of the Languages in Nigeria the ISO code is Idu Ori Adam-Onum (Ori) (talk) 22:35, 10 April 2025 (UTC)

- Language: idoma language

your reason here. --ori (talk) 22:15, 12 April 2025 (UTC) I will like to start a test language in Idoma Language Wikipedia. Idoma Language is one of the many languages in Nigeria with little or no online presence, I will like to revitalize idoma Language on Wikipedia to avoid it from going into extinction in the coming years. we have group of volunteers that are ready to keep it active from its Incubator time till when it's finally approved
- It seems there is no problem with your request. I'd recommend you create a userpage with a Babel language proficiency template (check mine for an example). If you don't have any proficiency in the language you shouldn't proceed further, but if you do, you can go to the Manual to start your test-wiki. Do not forget to issue a request for a new language if you want your wiki to have its own independent website!
Good luck and best regards — Garcez (talk) 20:30, 13 April 2025 (UTC)

- Proposed Wikimedia project: https://omy.wikipedia.org/
Old Malay is a term used to refer to the written Malay language found in several inscriptions dating from the 7th to 10th centuries AD found in Sumatra. Malay Peninsula and Java. Ancient Malay uses a variety of scripts starting from Pallawa. Gangga, Jawi, Rencong and many more so I prefer to write them in Latin script. My aim in submitting Old Malay to be included in the Wikimedia Incubator is to preserve and commemorate the original Malay grammar and vocabulary that has not been influenced by English. Modern Malay has SVO grammar, while Austronesian languages should be VSO. — The preceding unsigned comment was added by Manggisjeruk (discussion • contribs) 02:47, 11 May 2025 (UTC).
- "Old" languages are not allowed for Wikipedias. --MF-W {a, b} 22:35, 12 May 2025 (UTC)
- But Old English / Englisc is exist in Wikipedia. https://ang.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heafodtramet Manggisjeruk (talk) 03:16, 13 May 2025 (UTC)
- @Manggisjeruk Those existing Wikipedias in such Extinct/Historical languages (Latin, Literary Chinese, Sanskrit, etc.) were existing only because they were established before the adoption of LPP, they are no longer allowed anymore unless if someone suggests a revision (e.g. via m:RFC?). Under current LPP policy, they are barred for testing. Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 07:31, 17 May 2025 (UTC)

- Thank you.--ⵎⴰⵊⵉⵖ19 (talk) 21:39, 19 May 2025 (UTC)
- It seems there is no problem with your request, you can go ahead and start your project! Do check the Incubator:Manual if you aren't familiar with Incubator yet. Also, be sure to create a user profile that shows your proficiency in the language using the
{{#babel:|langcode}}template (for instance{{#babel:|pt}}for Portuguese). If you are not proficient in the language you are proposing, please do not continue.
Best regards — Garcez (talk) 07:22, 18 May 2025 (UTC)- Thank you.--ⵎⴰⵊⵉⵖ19 (talk) 11:46, 19 May 2025 (UTC)

- Why not just using the pre-existing Belarusian Wikivoyage test? Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 23:31, 13 May 2025 (UTC)
- The Belarusian (be-tarask) project has already been started. — Garcez (talk) 07:17, 18 May 2025 (UTC)
- @Iohanen: I strongly recomment you to re-consider this due to an ongoing deletion request, as Belarusian test Wikivoyage already exists at Wy/be, and Taraškievica is neither a language nor having a valid code. --Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 23:47, 19 May 2025 (UTC)
We need a wikipedia for Herzeg-Bosnia

Wikipedia for all Croatians im Bosnia and Herzegovina. They have sligtly diffrent language of Croatian. At least Croatian Wiki should state on its main page that it works for Croatians in Bosnia and Herzegovina too.--King of Croatia1 (talk) 18:15, 9 August 2025 (UTC)
- @King of Croatia1 Why don't you just contribute sh:? Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 07:02, 27 August 2025 (UTC)

your reason here. --Raveloaritiana Mamisoa (talk) 09:03, 21 September 2025 (UTC) I am requesting for starting a test of a Malagasy Wikiquote. I have already started adding content in the Incubator at https://incubator.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wq/mg/Michelle_Obama. Malagasy is a national language of Madagascar, spoken by millions of people, and already has active editions of Wikipedia and Wiktionary. A Wikiquote in Malagasy would help preserve and share cultural knowledge, proverbs, and famous quotations in the language. Thank you
