I think continuous text is better than just a table. Maybe there can be both. --MF-W {a, b} Visit IRC! 15:43, 13 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I thought this would be more efficient because now we can make a different version between those who already have a project in that language and those who haven't. You can add text, or we can wait for other opinions, I don't know... SPQRobin 16:21, 13 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Typing mistake?[edit source]

"So you start a new Wikipedia. Has the language a valid language code?"

Wikipedia? How about someone who wants to start others like Wiktionary or Wikibooks?

So I think this must be "Wikimedia", not "Wikipedia". I've changed it by myself. If anyone has different ideas, talk here.

--Cnchina 12:00, 15 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well, my intention was that the first project someone wants to start is a Wikipedia. But indeed there are already languages which have only a Wiktionary. So yes, your change was good. By the way, I'm thinking whether it's a good idea to make a simpler version for this page: User:SPQRobin/sandbox. Greetings, SPQRobin 12:07, 15 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"All pages need to be licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License and GNU Free Documentation License."[edit source]

Why? Shan't testWNs use CC BY 2.5 as the rest of WNs? Otherwise on import all the pages created here will need to be deleted as CCBYSA is not compatible with CCBY (the first one is stricter). --Base (talk) 21:12, 4 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Of course. I think it's mentioned on some other page correctly already. --MF-W {a, b} 10:22, 10 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Linkrot Incubator Plus on Wikia[edit source]

Any fix? --Omotecho (talk) 18:40, 6 February 2018 (UTC) Omotecho (talk) 18:40, 6 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Omotecho: Worked for me. What language was active when you viewed the page? StevenJ81 (talk) 19:16, 6 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@StevenJ81: hi, I’m using ja for UI and on Firefox for iOS 10.4 (8288) --Omotecho (talk) 19:24, 6 February 2018 (UTC) fixed typo[reply]
@Omotecho: Very odd. I switched my language to ja and then clicked the link and it was still good. What are you getting? StevenJ81 (talk) 19:53, 6 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@StevenJ81: opens FANDOM page with message as;
== in: '''''FANDOM''''' ==
= Error 404 =
Sorry, we can't find the page you are looking for.
[null Use Navigation or Search]. Let me try on Windows pc with FF on a few minutes. --Omotecho (talk) 20:18, 6 February 2018 (UTC) added line breaks. Omotecho (talk) 20:35, 6 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
It is good on Windows and Firefox 58.0.1 (32-bit), UI in ja and it shows:
Incubator Plus
Browse
= Incubator Plus:Main Page =
Redirected from [http://incubatorplus.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page?redirect=no Main Page] ....
Is it iOS iPhone + Firefox for iOS 10.4 (8288) + UI in ja causing linkrot then, I'm not that tech-wise and can't tell. Can you tell me if I you need more details? --Omotecho (talk) 20:35, 6 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
So it's got to be something about the setup on Firefox/iOS that's causing the problem. As you know, "Linkrot" means that what's supposed to be at the target of the link isn't. And there are enough setups where it works to say to me that linkrot is not the problem. (PS: I assume that you have a copy of Safari on your iPhone. See if that works right.) StevenJ81 (talk) 21:26, 6 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

(Un-indented) @StevenJ81:, thank you for the advice, and FYI, no, Safari on my iPhone does not show the link to Wikia, error message same as the case with Firefox. The iOS is v.11.2.5. Too bad.--Omotecho (talk) 23:27, 8 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

How to translate an article from a created wiki to a test wiki? MRidhaAJ (talk) 19:33, 13 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

A new Incubator Plus should replace (or be added to) the one mentioned in this article[edit source]

Incubator Plus 2.0 (miraheze.org)[1] should replace (or be added to) the one in FANDOM. The reason is in [2]. John Smith Ri (talk) 05:32, 1 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
