Asking for temporal admin in wy/eu

Hello! I'm currently a sysop in wp:eu, with years of experience, and I'd like to make some improvements in wy/eu so we can atract more users and make it more interesnting. I'd like to make changes in common.css based on best changes in en.wikivoyage.org. Hello! We do have a system of temporary adminship of a specific wiki. It's called a test-administrator. These rights are for a specific wiki and lasts for a year. You can apply for it here. All this information is unnecessary though, as test-wiki js and css pages do not require any flag. Test-wiki css can be made with a Common.css page in the test-wiki (Wy/eu/Common.css). Happy editing. Sorry, I was mistaken. It would be MediaWiki:Wy/eu/Common.css. The test-adminship does not cover the MediaWiki: pages, so the translator flag is needed, not the test-sysop. Sorry. Ebe123 (^{Talkabout it}|_contribs) 17:36, 2 January 2015 (UTC)

Same for Wikinews

Working with prefixes is really really hard. I'm trying to make attractive the front of eu:wikinews so we can attract some students and it seem that changing the MediaWiki:Common.css file doesn't make any difference. Maybe the problem is there with prefixes, maybe is another one... could someone help me with this? -Theklan (talk) 13:56, 4 January 2015 (UTC)

Yes, pages named Wx/xx/MediaWiki:Common.css don't work, they actually have to be in the MediaWiki namespace, e.g. MediaWiki:Wx/xx/Common.css. You can request the right for editing the MediaWiki namespace on I:A ("translator" group). --MF-W {a, b} 02:20, 5 January 2015 (UTC)

New tool for article creation: beta testers needed

With a small team of people I am creating a tool, that should help to speed up the article creation process. It all started from a simple question on how to support the growth of Võro Wikipedia and ended up with the creation of java program, that allows rapid translation of big number of articles.

It hasn't yet been tested in Incubator, but Incubatior support is soon to be added. If some people around here would like to test it out, then please contact me. Kruusamägi (talk) 00:16, 18 January 2015 (UTC)

This new tool will work with any Wikipedia version, it is designed for smaller languages and it is much more flexible. That sets it apart from CT.

BTW. How it is with the interwiki links? Normally this tool would automatically add link to Wikidata, but how should it behave in Incubator? Add all language links in a format [[en:...]] or is one enough? Kruusamägi (talk) 19:16, 19 January 2015 (UTC)

Awadhi Wikipedia

How to fix a translation error?

Hi, you all know this little speech bubble next to the Incubator logo with the English text Editing Wikimedia Incubator..., don't you? In German the text is Wikimedia Incubator zu bearbeiten..., but this is completly wrong and sounds awful. Where can this message be changed? In TranslateWiki? Actually I don't know this speech bubble. When does it appear? - I searched for "Wikimedia Incubator zu bearbeiten" in Special:SearchTranslations and translatewiki:Special:SearchTranslations, but without a result. Trying to copy templates from enwiki is a horribly complicated task because enwiki has so many stange template dependencies. It's probably more easy to create a simple new infobox from scratch. --MF-W {a, b} 01:50, 8 March 2015 (UTC)

Help with Modules/Templates please

Hi everyone,
I'm working on the Wt/lad in order to create a Wiktionary in Judaeo-Spanish. As a Wiktionary, it needs templates for headwords, nouns, verbs etc. I was trying to create some standard templates so I can use them with every entry. After checking other wiktionaries, I saw that I needed the #invoke function and that I needed to use the modules, I tried creating modules after their equivalents from the English Wikt. but I failed...As I also don't know much the Lua language, I would like very much if someone could give me a helping hand...as I'm totally lost right now with templates and modules. And as far I understand they're the only way to create a systematic and standard Wiktionary.

For what I've found, there has an Extension called ContentTranslation, which is a very easy way to translate articles.
