- Need to build up base of translators.
- Need to get more people involved.
- Need to locate all Konkani, Goa/coastal Karnataka/etc articles on en.wikipedia.org for translation
- Need to build awareness about the Wikipedia-KOK
- Need to build volunteer teams (translations, public relations, tech skills)
- Need to generate more Konkani/Goa/coastal Karnataka articles on en.wikipedia.org which can be then easily translated.
- Need to source writings in Konkani which are copyright expired. (The work of Shenoi Goembab is now probably out of copyright, since 60 years have elapsed following his death). --Fredericknoronha 09:56, 31 March 2007 (UTC)
- I have one request. If possible please give preference to Konkani related articles first. For instance while creating articles about states of India, it would be good to start in this order Goa, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala and then so on, rather than write an article about say UP first.
Similarly in History write about the History of Konkani language, Konkan, Goa, Canara. The article should in a sense spiral outwards from the Konkan region. Of course this cannot be applied to things like technology related articles. --Deepak D'Souza (talk • contribs) 05:58, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
i want to contribute for this konkani portal of wiki. mahesh divekar.
- Need to expand some of the existing articles, some have just basic info so something more needs to go into them, so if anyone cant write full articles or translate them, they can atleast increase the content of the existing articles.
- Focus on konkani related articles be it on culture, languages, places, but its ok if you are comfortable with something else.Tech related articles can take a back seat intitially.
- Need more volunteers :)
