Het is de bedoeling om op Meta je echte aanvraag voor een Wikipedia in het Brabants te maken, terwijl je hier bezig bent met een testproject te maken. Het is eigenlijk nutteloos om hier te werken zonder een aanvraag op Meta te hebben. Als je niet weet hoe het moet, wil ik het wel doen (ik ben ervaren :p). Lol :-) Ik woon toevallig in Brabant (ongeveer). Nog twee kleine tips: Je kan op jouw gebruikerspagina aanduiden welke talen je allemaal spreekt (zie voor een voorbeeld op mijn gebruikerspagina). Breton wikiquote

Thank you very much for creating the breton wikiquote. There are a few problems nevertheless:

  • A few pages are missing, notably "Wikiarroud:Deizlevr"; "Ger-stur Breizh"; "Ger-stur Galiza"; "Karantez"; and maybe others.
  • Would it be possible to rename the project namespace from wikiquote to wikiarroud? And the logo in the upper-left side as well?

Bikol Wiki adminship

Hi - user Filipinayzd and myself were both sysops at the same time for Bikol Wiki when it was on incubator. It wasn't an issue for the stewards before, so why isn't it allowed now? I thought the normal procedure was that sysops in incubators get to become new admins once their old wiki is deleted and the new one created? Let's first make this clear: Incubator policy is independent of Meta/steward policy. We made you test-admin here, not the stewards. So we have nothing to say to the stewards. I mean, when I proposed that test-admins here may become permanent admin on the new wiki, the stewards said test-admins on Incubator may only request for temporary adminship. So, I asked to you and Filipinayzd (because you both are test-admins here), to become admins on the new Bikol wiki. Filipinayzd was first to confirm this, so I asked to make him temporary admin on the new wiki. Then you confirmed to become admin, and I asked it, but the stewards said: "We already have a temporarily-appointed admin [Filipinayzd] on this project who is active. Is there a practical need for a second one?" The only way to fix this, is to hold a voting with the community at Bikol Wikipedia and then ask at m:RFP to become admin. Do you understand? Roa/abr

In the article en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abruzzo the dialectal variety Abruzzese Orientale Adriatico is discussed. See also the Italian Wikipedia page http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dialetto_abruzzese dedicated to the Abruzzese dialects. Usually they are considered as part of the Southern Italian linguistic continuum. The problem is that the ISO code for this continuum is "nap" for Neapolitan, however, no Abruzzese speaker would recognize him/herself into that definition. That is why I propose a code "roa" for Romance, similarly to http://roa-tara.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pagene_Prengepále. Please, tell me what to do before deleting my test pages. Re: Translation requests

Yes, but a lot of people help me and told me that this is excellent idea. In Gottingen in Germany when was 5 years of Wikipedia they speak about my idea and were posters (I was on part of one of them). I was also in this year in TVs, radios, newspapers. More people accept this idea than don't accept. After me a lot of people ask on all Wikis about request (e.g. True Jesus Church, Mohovce, Świętochłowice, Żagań, Końskowola, Chrząchów, Almazan). If anybody want I do article which he want. If anybody have "on" option mails by Wiki, I wrote by it and this isn't on Recentchanges. Pietras1988 16:23, 27 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with both Pietras1988 and Ooswesthoesbes. In fact, most people have been willing to help us and we are always willing to reciprocate back to them if they require our aid in the near future. I personally have also helped numerous people (including User:Pietras1988) to fulfill their translation requests whenever they approached me (eg. I can also. Lastly I made pl:Vikværsk nad pl:Konstutucyjny Ruch Gilan but this second article was deleted because I have block on PL wiki and admins think that I shouldn't do edits as IP... Before delete it I copy it to my Wiki and I wrote to user from GLK wiki and after he copied it and pasted. If anybody want build-up article we do it. I have block on Incubator because one user block me for trolling (I don't trolling now), spam (requests aren't spam for a lot of users) and because I have block on PL wiki and meta although there are other projects than Incubator... How does it work?

Hoi, SPQRobin. You as an admin or bureaucrat maybe can enlighten me on how the Incubator works. As you may possibily know, there is a proposal for "cleaning up" the Volapük Wikipedia. This would include moving the Wiki here to Incubator. In case this voting goes forth, I would like to know:

  • would everything be imported from the original Wiki?
  • will interwikis on pages still work?
  • what is the current support for community pages (such as community portal, help pages, etc.)?
  • do any kind of limits exist that don't exist in normal Wikis (such as article count)?

  1. Normally yes. In this case it is actually much work to import *everything* because there are more than 100.000 pages.
  2. In this case, I mean "for Wikipedias", interwiki links work. For other projects not.
  3. Do you mean "will they be imported too?" ?

Table width and Locating map

Hello, it's me again and I could need your help. It's again a problem with the template above. I want my table and the two columns to have constantly the same width, how can I do that? Because when I insert the localities into the tamplate, the table becomes wider and wider. And the second problem is I need the map with the locater point because there's no map for every gemeente. Do you want me to run it under a separate account and let you set the flag, or just not worry about it?

And about the Wikt things, there seem to be some templates where I can't trace back the original source. Is there any chance they'd be in a monobook or some global thing that doesn't show up as a template--and which I wouldn't have access to change? Or does that sound totally wrong?

And I'm curious about that alternative version on your PC. What do you need to bring it online? Just server space on a random hosted domain account--or something more exotic?

Late? No prob. :-) I just got drafted as the tech sysop on one of the most third-world backward wikts around. Users have been running wild over there for over a year with no admin. Gheheh! Been a bit busy.

Just a little question, the kind of thing I might not have thought of. Does your friend have enough server space? Or would it be easy for him to get more if the project grew fast?

Will your project be a wiki? I think I've figured out a way to harvest every word out of each dump of every project, and then load them up (best to do it in alphabetical order by project--or in whatever order you choose.) Of course, they'd require some serious cleanup by another bot after that was done, but I know people who've written pretty sophisticated cleanup bots. Just another thought. :-)

Diar SPQRobin, thank You for your great works! We have some problems:

  1. Red links in list on kaa:Bas bet. Appears somewhat pages aren't transwikied.
  2. In other wikies couldn't work interwikies to kaa:. Appears need rebuild interwikibase on old wikies.
  3. And one request. Please move the page: kaa:Ha'mme Wikipediyalarda bolıwı tiyis maqalalar dizimi to Wikipedia namespace where it should be as on other Wikipedias.

Maybe it's a wrong place to ask, but I don't have an account on Bugzilla yet and their reg-confirmation mail seems to be lost.
When you type in sah.wikimedia.org/wiki/<article name in Cyrillic> in browser, the wiki seems to look for article with this name in wrong encoding (Latin-1 or Western European, it seems), and finds nothing. The same works fine with ru.wikimedia.org/wiki/<whatever>. For example http://sah.wikipedia.org/wiki/Исландия works fine if you follow the link, but if you type it into the URL box, you get a message saying that there's no "Èñëàíäèÿ" page. Hmm.. This works for me. Do you have the same problem on other Cyrillic wikis (like ru.wikipedia)?

Hello Robin, as you probably know, French language is not only in Europe but also in Africa, America and in Middle-East/Asia. So I'm very concerned to translate (at least) the main page proprely and entirely. It would be great if we could find an easy way get translations on the tests template for Incubator's main page... For instance, in French "Wikitionnaire" stands for "Wikitionnary" or "Wikiversité"... So here are few translations :

Om een eigen logo bovenaan te hebben, moet je een bug submitten op Bugzilla. Ik wil dat wel voor jullie doen, maar ik vind de tekst "Ju fräie Enzyklopedie" op stq:Bielde:Wikipedia-logo-stq.png niet echt leesbaar. Hallo Robin, ik heb het vraagstuk van die bleekheid neergelegd bij Nohat, maar hij heeft tot op heden nog niet gereageerd. Zit misschien ook met die umlauttekens en heeft het wellicht ook veel te druk met geweldig exotische landenlogo’s! Intussen dacht ik: “Misschien wordt het wel veel beter op die grijze achtergrond”. In ieder geval zou ik dat weleens willen proberen; is het nog niet goed en wordt er later iets aan gedaan, dan komt dat ook automatisch voorelkaar.
