This is the Wikimedia Incubator, where potential Wikimedia project wikis in new language versions of Wikipedia, Wikibooks, Wikinews, Wikiquote, Wiktionary and Wikivoyage can be arranged, written, tested and proven worthy of being hosted by the Wikimedia Foundation.

New language versions of Wikiversity should go to Beta Wikiversity, and those of Wikisource to Old Wikisource.

Några viktiga regler:

You need a valid language code (explained in the manual). If you don't, you can apply for one, or go to Incubator Plus.
Starting a test wiki here doesn't mean it will later be automatically accepted by Wikimedia; you need it to be approved by the Language committee first. See Requests for new languages for more information.
Please respect the naming conventions for the test language, to help future migrations of pages to an actual wiki project. All of your test pages (including templates and categories) need to be named uniquely (by using a prefix — at least the language code; see above) and consistently.

16 May 2013: Venetian Wiktionary and Greek Wikivoyage have been created.
27 March 2013: Hebrew Wikivoyage and Ukrainian Wikivoyage have been created.
11 February 2013: Project specific logos can now be enabled through a gadget, in addition to the test-wiki-specific setting.
6 February 2013: Minangkabau Wikipedia, Sanskrit Wikiquote, Romanian Wikivoyage, Polish Wikivoyage (and from outside of Incubator: Korean Wikiversity) have been created.
3 January 2013: Spanish Wikivoyage, Portuguese Wikivoyage (and from outside of Incubator: Assamese Wikisource) have been created.
