Incubator:Autoconfirmed users
Autoconfirmed users are contributors who are logged in to an account that is older than four days. Autoconfirmed users can
- edit semi-protected pages (autoconfirmed),
- move pages (move),
- perform captcha triggering actions without having to go through the captcha (skipcaptcha),
- view details for normal filters in the abuse log,
- change the visibility of entries on the feedback dashboard.
If you are a new user, and cannot rename pages, it will most likely be because you are not yet autoconfirmed. You can then simply ask someone who is autoconfirmed already to do the action for you until you can do it yourself, for example ask on Incubator:Community Portal. In exceptional cases, you can also be given "confirmed" status prior to the 4 days.
Confirmed users [edit]
In some situations, it is necessary for accounts to be exempted from the customary confirmation period. The 'confirmed' group contains the same rights as the 'autoconfirmed' group, but can be assigned manually. Because such a need has never occured on Incubator, there is no configuration which allows local sysops or bureaucrats to grant it, so possible requests would have to go to stewards. Preferably ask on Incubator:Administrators' noticeboard or the IRC channel if you think you need confirmed status.
